		Trainer Guide Description: A comprehensive guide for running a half day introductory session on the UNCRC, the training is for anyone working with children and young people. This guide can be used in conjunction with the half day sector specific training guides on this website to create a full day training. The guide contains an overview of the session, timings, notes for slides and associated resources to use alongside the powerpoint presentation.

		A Right to Education Duration 6 mins: Description: Deri View Primary School. The Head teacher and Head of SEN talk about the school approach to inclusion of all pupils including those with complex medical and learning support needs. Slide show with photos graphs of the pupils and activities taking place in the school.

		Rights Respecting Group Duration 4 mins: Description: Pupils of Gwyrosydd Primary in Swansea talk about their understanding of rights and in particular about article 42. They identify how they are implemented in a school setting. Slide show of school displays accompany the children talking.

		Sam and Laura’s Story Duration 6 mins: Description: Looked After young people talk about their experiences of being in care and how school and social workers have helped them to access the support they needed.

		Victoria’s Story Duration 3 mins: Description: Victoria a young carer aged 12 years, and her mother discuss Victoria’s involvement in providing complex health interventions to her mother. This clip highlights issues for the home lives of some children and the levels of responsibility they carry. The video challenges participants to consider why some children might be missing school, struggling to complete home work or distracted whilst in class.

		ABCD Duration 6 mins: Description: Young people supported by the charity ABCD who provide services for disabled children and young people from black and minority ethnic communities talk about their experiences of receiving information from health services and being involved in decisions about treatment.

		Glen’s Story Duration 3 mins: Description: A care leaver who now runs a forum for Looked After Children raises issues about the difficulties young people leaving care have accessing health services.

		Fe Fi Forum Duration 2 mins: Description: A slide show of original artwork set to music presenting the views of Looked After young people who attend a forum in Swansea.

		Lisa's Story Duration 3 mins: Description: A care leaver talks about her experiences of being in care, in particular her lack of meaningful involvement in review meetings and decisions about her care.

		Patricia’s Story Duration 6 mins: Description: A mother of two adopted children who have additional needs talks about the difficulties they have faced as a family, the children’s need for a wide range of ongoing support services, and the people who have helped them in accessing appropriate support for their identified needs.

		Children’s Wrongs Description: (How children are sometimes mistreated and how the UNCRC aims to stop that from happening.) 		UNCRC: What Right Do You Have To Be A Child In Wales Description: (A journey through the UNCRC and how responsibilities fit in) A presentation that explores many of the aspects of the UNCRC, including how rights are separate from responsibilities and links to some of the organisations in Wales that support it. A great resource that can be viewed as a group, or by young people at a computer giving them the freedom to choose how much time they spend exploring the different parts of the Prezi. Schools can put the Prezi on the Intranet and pupils can explore it at home. View the presentation
